It’s been a quiet week at the APL Cart, as we finish up last week’s shipments and look forward to what promises to be a busy week ahead. While we wait, here are a few reading suggestions.
The Tinkers: I was so pleased to see this book win the Pulitzer Prize. I loved it when I read it almost a year ago. It’s a beautifully written story of a man at the end of his life who reflects on his memories of his father, and, somehow, his father’s memories of his own father. Read an interview with author Paul Harding at Powell’s Books.
National Library Week was this week. Celebrate by reading an interview with honorary chair Neil Gaiman who explains why he loves libraries.
We have a new origami book, Uber Origami, that claims to contain Every Origami Project Ever! If you’ve ever wanted to fold an F-16 or a Flamingo, this is the book for you. Or celebrate Patriot’s Day by folding paper into replicas of George Washington and Betsy Ross. There’s even a section on how to fold junk mail.
